Japan is at an alert level to um as many of you know, there have been extensive restrictions regarding travel from certain parts of China. We believe that there will be more restrictions in terms of Italy that the federal government is going to undertake. That would obviously be helpful for us as we’re looking to stop the spread of the virus. The public health emergency also advises individuals who believe they may have been exposed to Cove in 19 to contact their local county health department prior to traveling. Any physicians office, Emergency Department hospital. Urgent care center. If you look at this virus, the vast, vast majority of people who acquire it will not require hospitalization on DSO. If you work through your local provider, county health department, rather than showing up at an urgent care center that will help with the resource is for for other needs. The governor met Monday morning with the chiefs of the state agencies that will be at the forefront of combating the virus, including the departments overseeing schools, prisons and elder care facilities.During a news conference Monday morning Florida Surgeon General Scott Rivkees said the Hillsborough County patient is woman in her 20s who just returned from northern Italy, where there’s a large outbreak.The Manatee County patient with COVID-19 is man in his 60s and is in hospital and stable. It’s not known at this time how to this person was exposed. Coronavirus symptoms include fever, cough and shortness of breath. It can spread from person to person through small droplets such as when an individual coughs or sneezes.There is currently no vaccine to prevent coronavirus.The announcement of the Florida cases came a day after the Department of Health said state laboratories in Jacksonville, Tampa and Miami can now test for the coronavirus, instead of having to send samples to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., issued a statement Sunday night saying he will work to get federal aid to help Florida with the virus, which emerged late last year in China.“The health and safety of every Floridian, especially the elderly and those with compromised immune systems, remain my highest priority,” Rubio said. “I will continue to work with the Trump Administration and Governor DeSantis to ensure our state has the resources and information it needs. I am working with my colleagues in Congress on a funding package to ensure Florida has every available federal resource to respond to the coronavirus, and I look forward to its swift passage in the coming weeks.”
