we could have more sad news, but the American people should know. The risk for the average American remains low. The Corona virus has now turned deadly in the United States, claiming the lives of two men in Washington state, the number of confirmed US cases of the virus jumped by two dozen over the weekend. We discovered what we believe is the first case of Corona virus here in the state of Rhode Island, and thousands more are being monitored, tested or are under some type of quarantine across the country. But everyone we identified as positive we have to go through that exercise of identifying the lawmakers on Capitol Hill are negotiating a multi $1,000,000,000 spending package to deal with the virus. Sources say it could be as much as $7 billion far above the two and 1/2 1,000,000,000 the White House requested but lower than the eight and 1/2 1,000,000,000 Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer proposed. Democrats have blasted President Trump for his handling of the virus, at times contradicting the Centers for Disease Control and other medical experts on the severity. One person in Oklahoma has tested negative for COVID-19 coronavirus, but state Department of Health officials said they are waiting for test results for a second person and an additional possible case was reported over the weekend.Health officials announced Thursday, Feb. 27 that they were awaiting coronavirus test results from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on two people in our state. Officials said Monday that test results came back negative for one of the two people, and the results are still pending for the other one.Officials said, however, another possible case was reported over the weekend and they will submit that person’s test to the CDC on Monday. This case brings the total number of people being tested in Oklahoma to two. There are no confirmed, positive cases of the coronavirus in Oklahoma at this time, officials said.
