Turning over a New Leaf – 365 of 365

365 of 365. Goodbyes are both a beginning and an end. Endings that become part of your memories, and a beginning that welcomes the future. This year – 2020, is indeed a memorable year to all of us. I’m sure everyone has different stories to tell, things we are grateful for, and things we learn. And I have too, and so as we close this year chapter of our lives, let me take this time to also reflect and recall everything happened to me.

RECALL

2020, starts great for me. May of 2020 I was selected as the Roommate of the Month in Sampleroom, a community and my own source in creating contents, by making some honest reviews to some products I’ve tried. From then onwards, my community increases, the crowd I have improves which makes me feel pressured in making contents, and get excited and feel blessed because I have YOU. Aside from engagement increase, I also did some few blog and brand collaboration which also help me to give back as well to the people who support me since day one, and even to the people, who become a new friend / family to me. Through this collaboration, I also learn new things and help me become more dedicated in making contents.

In the mid-year, when things seems to be doing fine, something happened. I was tested POSITIVE in COVID-19 3x and been on home quarantine for almost 1 month in a half. During this period, my mental health is also tested. I experienced discrimination but also gives me strength and help me realize that our FAMILY, despite the distance we had, they will always be your number one supporter. I’m really grateful by it.

And just recently, on the last season of this year, I also found a new community, a family that also gives me a new phase in my blogging and as a content creator. BloggerxPH, a community who supports co influencers and gives us an opportunity to express ourselves. Aside from this, my small online business starting to bloom as well.

REFLECT : 365 of 365

I always see the silver lining rather than dwelling to much with negativity. So most of the things I shared with you is really on my positive note. Because for me, when everything seems to be stressful, and if I feel that negativity is eating me up, I stand tall and choose to fight the hardship I’m feeling. As they say, I’m choosing the battle wisely.

THE NEW LEAF

New Leaf, New Year, New Beginning. As I face a new start, I must, still, be thankful on surviving a pandemic year. And as I turn over the new leaf, let me give you some advice and learnings I gain in 2020.

  • In dark times, always see that silver lining, and that’s God, giving us strength in times we are weak.
  • Choose what to value and choose the mud you’ll step in. Always value family, friends that are real and know your worth by choosing the right battles wisely.
  • It’s okay to choose your happiness first before others. What makes you feel at peace and live your life better is more important, so don’t feel guilty about it.
  • Celebrate small wins, and start appreciating even the smallest achievements you’ve gain. Because in this way, you’ll be encourage to keep moving forward towards your goal. Remember, Small things can be the key for your greatness.
  • Pause but never hold back. Pause means taking a break to breathe but not about giving up. Take risk but always think twice.

Thank you 2020, Hello 2021!
