Easy Peanut Butter Banana Fudgesicles

Nutritious, delicious and hydrating, these easy peanut butter and banana fudgesicles will become your new favourite summer snack-worthy treat!

It’s been a HOT summer this year, and as such, the kids and I have been on a huge homemade popsicle kick. We’ve found a few go-to favourites that we want to share, including this one! And what’s better than a popsicle? A FUDGESICLE! For me, anyways.

Chocolate always makes things better!

These homemade easy peanut butter banana fudgesicles are not only delicious, but they’re also really nutritious and hydrating. The banana in them adds a natural sweetness and nutrition, and the peanut butter adds protein, fibre and nutrition too! And who doesn’t love the peanut butter and banana combo?! It’s the best!

Keeping kids hydrated and cool during the summer is really important. Water and other hydrating fluids (like smoothies – check out this tropical green smoothie) are a great way to hydrate throughout the day, as well as homemade popsicles like this one, and fruits and veggies (which naturally contain up to 70% water!

As a busy mom, I love that this recipe is so easy – I can whip it up at night after the kids go to bed, and then have them ready the next day for a nutritious treat. I usually serve these, along with some fruit for an afternoon snack, or they make a great dessert too. As a dietitian, I love the fact that these fudgesicles are so nutritious and low in added sugar (but that my kids can’t get enough of them). Win win!

This recipe is versatile.

You can sub in cow’s milk if you’d like, or any sort of nut or seed butter. If you don’t have maple syrup, feel free to use honey.
